Parents as Partners

We are committed to working in close partnership with parents/carers and families throughout their time at Oak Lodge to ensure they are involved in their child's education and feel supported by the school.  We meet with parents/carers to discuss their child's progress regularly and we communicate with parents in a number of ways including newsletters, coffee mornings, FSA meetings and events.

We also have a Parents' Forum which is a consultative and advisory group who meet with the Head Teacher and Governors to give informal feedback about topics which impact on the life of the school.

If you are interested in taking part in the forum please contact the school office or send an email to admin@oaklodge.bromley.sch.uk entitled 'Parent Forum' expressing your interest and including your contact details.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Volunteering at Oak Lodge
Many parents offer their time on a regular basis to help at school.  They listen to children read, help in the school library, wash the fruit, help with displays and accompany classes on local outings and day trips.

Please let the school office know if you would like to help at school on a regular basis and we will arrange for a child safeguarding clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
